It is so important that we share stories of hope and survival with as many as possible. There are millions of people in recovery around the world. Unfortunately, what is broadcast into our living rooms every evening by the news is not those stories of hope, but the worst possible scenario.
Survival Series
It is awful, the number of overdoses that are happening all around us. Those stories are important, but so are all the stories of those who are doing better every day. People in recovery are everywhere, but you wouldn’t know it. They don’t talk about their recovery out in the open. For many, the only place that they talk about recovery is in their weekly twelve-step meeting. That is their right, but unless we take our stories outside of church basements and into our lives the stigma is always going to be there.

If you aren’t comfortable sharing your story on Facebook LIVE you can also submit it in article form and we will post it here on our website, as well as on our Facebook page.

Often that person is reaching out in the middle of the night when there aren’t any meetings that they can attend. What they can do is see first hand with example after example of someone breaking free from exactly the same thing they are struggling with.
